What is Fit4Baby? A prenatal fitness program created to safely and effectively teach women to exercise throughout their pregnancy. Stroller Strides is offering this program for women in any stage of pregnancy. Classes include warm-up, strength training, cardio, stretching and balance exercises.
What do I need? Each participant must bring a signed form and/or acknowledge they have received their Physician’s clearance prior to participating. The clearance form can be obtained from The Playhouse Cafe. Prenatal Classes are for Mom only. Childcare is available at The Playhouse Cafe for a $5 fee. Please bring a mat or towel and plenty of water.
When can I start? Begin as soon as you discover you are pregnant. Workouts are modified to prepare your body for upcoming changes and accommodate your growing baby. With your Physician’s approval you can safely continue taking class through your delivery date.
When do Classes start? Fit4Baby is a 6-week session starting on March 1st through April 3rd taught by a fitness expert certified in pre and post natal fitness. The cost for the 6-week session is $55 .
Should I exercise during pregnancy? Pregnancy is a time of beauty and wonder. It can also be a time of discomfort and trial…keeping your body strong and fit can make this time in your life more enjoyable and can speed your labor, delivery and recovery. Exercise is an important component to your pregnant well being, as well as, your strength as a new mom. Consistency is most important with your exercise program. Find exercises you enjoy and can continue at moderate intensity.
